Locaton
Cardiff is located on the north side of a large bay on the south side of England. It is one of the main points of entry from Ireland, and situated near the Sea Kingdom. It's about two day's travel from a marsh that contains many dangers.
Leadership
Cardiff is led by a Duchess, who is currently missing. The duchess has been recovered, and we are en route to bring her home. Well, she's probably the duchess, we didn't really ask. Also, it turns out the mayor was a wizard that tried to (and one case did) kill us. He rambled about some plan, and may be responsible for the Fishfolk showing up. He died.
People
The people of Cardiff are no fans of Camelot, willing to imprison the town guard and execute newcomers to protect a group of travelers that rescued the passengers of a ship from a raiding party.

[boat +1] Cardiff is a dreary little shithole. They'd have died of starvation due to the water wankers, had we not intervened. The people that Becky had imprisoned will still get sentenced to death when we track down their Duchess, but, at least it won't be mob rule, I guess? It looks like the monk's people are trying some kind of farming scheme, but I didn't really look into it. Two shiny gold coins say that town's dropped a quarter of their population by the time we get back.
